What our adventurers are saying

This was a truly amazing travel experience. Everyday was varied and interesting. The stunning Silk Road cities of Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand in Uzbekistan with their tiled mosques and fabulous bazaars deserve thorough exploration.

Kyrgyzstan was a real revelation! One of the most beautiful places we have ever visited, with its snow capped mountains and green valleys where animals roam free. The highlight for us was the Eagle hunting display – meeting these magnificent creatures and their training families was really special.

We also enjoyed participating in various crafts – pottery making, pressed wool rugs and visiting workshops where traditional methods were still practiced.

The food was generally very good. It was nice to visit the homes of locals for a couple of meals. Everywhere managed to accommodate my vegetarian/ fish tastes.

Jude Robinson – Uzbekistan & Kyrgyzstan

We have just finished a tour of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan with Crooked Compass and I can highly recommend them. If you are a traveller who wants to look beyond the main tourist routes even in more developed and established regions than you can’t go wrong with Crooked Compass . We traveled in style and comfort to these 2 destinations as Crooked Compass really is about getting travellers to think differently about their travels, to look beyond the main tourist routes even in more developed and established regions.

Terri Dillon – Uzebekistan & Turkmenistan

Awesome! As a travel organisation, Crooked Compass really does care – both about clients and the people they visit. No detail is left out and the result is an experience that delivers awe, compassion and adventure. Can’t recommend enough.
